One useful tool of web conferencing often overlooked is desktop or screen sharing. It is without doubt one of the best features of TurboMeeting’s multi-faceted communications tool. It allows a user to share what is on screen with another user. TurboMeeting also provides the option to share selected applications for added user privacy. With screen sharing, one individual can also take or give control of another person’s computer screen depending on what is required.
Desktop sharing on TurboMeeting is easy as 1-2-3. The basic (3) steps are:
- Starting TurboMeeting
- Use the Change Presenter function to change the screen being shared
- If necessary, take control of another computer using the Change Controller function
The Change Controller function is used by the host to share control of their desktop with another user. This will allow that user to take control of the host’s screen. On the other hand, the host would use the change presenter function to share someone else’s screen. The new presenter can then share their screen with anyone they choose.
For the more visual crowd, video tutorials can also be found under the demo page on the RHUB website.
As the host, screen sharing gives you ultimate control. You can invite attendees, pause meetings so that your screen can no longer be seen. You can chat with all attendees at once or select specific attendees for online chat. This also applies to sharing of files. Get the most from your web conferencing solution by using the great screen sharing feature.
